Mega Moolah Review

How Mega Moolah Pays

The game uses five reels, three rows and 25 paylines. The lion is the Wild: it stands in for other symbols and doubles any win it helps create. Monkey scatters pay anywhere on the reels and trigger free spins. Line wins come often, about every second spin, but they're usually small.

How the Mega Moolah Jackpot Is Won

After any paid spin, the jackpot wheel can be triggered at random, with bigger bets slightly improving the odds. Once it spins, one of four jackpots is guaranteed: Mini, Minor, Major or Mega. The wheel favours the smaller prizes, so Mini and Minor come up most often.

The top Mega prize starts from a million in whatever currency the casino uses, then keeps climbing with each bet placed across the network until somebody lands it. In 2015 a player from the UK landed £13.2 million, recognised by Guinness World Records as the biggest online slot jackpot payout up to that point.

Mega Moolah Free Spins Explained

Get three or more monkeys anywhere and you're given 15 free spins at triple pay. Because the lion Wild doubles the wins it's part of, wild wins in free spins pay 6×. The round can be retriggered. You'll also see "Mega Moolah free spins" promoted by casinos; those are separate casino offers with their own wagering terms.

Other Mega Moolah Games: Immortal Romance, Atlantean Treasures and More

Games Global has bolted the same wheel onto several other games. Look out for Immortal Romance Mega Moolah, Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah, Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah and Fortunium Gold Mega Moolah, each with different reels and returns but the familiar four-tier jackpot. This page reviews the original Mega Moolah.

How Other Reviewers Rate Mega Moolah

Every major review site paints the same picture: a dated, simple slot wrapped around the most famous jackpot in online gaming. Reviewers agree on the 88.12% RTP and note that roughly 5% of each bet feeds the jackpots. Most say the hit rate of about 46% keeps things moving, while warning that many of those wins return less than you bet.

Mega Moolah RTP, Volatility and Jackpot Odds

Overall RTP is 88.12%, far below the industry norm, because part of every stake goes into the progressive jackpots. Base-game volatility is low to medium. Expect your balance to drain quicker than on a typical 96% game. What you get in return is a ticket to the Mega draw.

Mega Moolah Demo or Real Money?

Demo play covers the reels and the bonus round, but the four jackpots are only live in cash games. If you play for real in Canada, use money you've set aside for entertainment, and keep in mind that bonus money rarely counts toward wagering here.
