Blood Suckers Review
A Gothic NetEnt classic from 2013 that refuses to retire, mostly because it pays back 98% in theory. Gentle swings, regular hits and a pair of features that have aged better than the graphics.

Our Take: Few slots give you more for your money over time. It won't make you rich in one spin, but for working through bonus wagering it's close to perfect.

Blood Suckers Slot in Brief
NetEnt's blood suckers slot puts five reels and three rows under a haunted castle, with 25 lines that are always active. Its theoretical return of 98% is the headline, and the low variance means the balance moves in small steps rather than big leaps.
- 98% theoretical return, rare for any online slot.
- Every free spins win is multiplied by three.
- A coffin-picking feature pays out instant cash.
How Blood Suckers Pays
All 25 lines are always on, and wins count from the leftmost reel. Alongside the standard Wild, there are two feature symbols: a scatter that unlocks free spins and a bonus icon that opens the coffin game. Hits arrive regularly but tend to be modest, exactly what you'd expect from a low-variance design.
Blood Suckers Slot Free Spins and Coffin Bonus
Find three scatters for 10 free spins in which every payout is tripled; more scatters inside the round extend it. Separately, three bonus icons across a played line take you into the coffin game, where each lid you open reveals a vampire to stake and an instant prize, until you open one that's empty.
Blood Suckers Compared With Blood Suckers II and Blood Suckers Megaways
If return is your priority, the 2013 game still wins:
| Game | Studio | Format | RTP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blood Suckers (2013) | NetEnt | 5×3, 25 lines | 98% |
| Blood Suckers II (2017) | NetEnt | 5×3, 25 lines | 96.94% |
| Blood Suckers Megaways (2021) | Red Tiger | Megaways | Check info screen |
The sequel looks sharper and adds extra feature choices, while the Red Tiger Megaways remake raises the variance considerably. Players who care most about long-run return usually stay with the first game.
How Other Reviewers Rate Blood Suckers
The 98% figure opens almost every review of this game, and it's the reason many critics call it a cult favourite. They agree on its low variance and frequently suggest it for clearing bonus playthrough. Age is the main knock against it, since it dates from November 2013, along with a ceiling of only about 1,014 times the bet.

Blood Suckers RTP, Volatility and Top Prize
At 98%, the Blood Suckers RTP sits roughly two percentage points above a typical slot. Variance is low and the most a round can pay is close to 1,014 times the bet. That generous return is exactly why some casinos list it as excluded from bonus wagering, so check the terms before relying on it.
